Superman Red, in his most well-known chrome-skinned iteration, is a future evolution of Superman, appearing most prominently in the All-Star Superman storyline. He is not an alternate universe version but rather Superman after having undergone a physiological transformation far in the future.
In the future, Superman utilizes a "Superman Robot" to perform heroic deeds during his time of rest and reflection.
