Howard the Duck
Brand:
Lepin
Serial:
03059B
Year:

Theme:
DC
Biography:
Superduck is a superhero character appearing in the DC Comics universe, primarily as a humorous version of Superman in the funny animal comic book series The Dodo and the Frog, published in the 1950s. He is a yellow duck with Superman-like abilities, including flight, super-strength, and invulnerability.
Created by cartoonist Irwin Hasen, Superduck originated in The Dodo and the Frog #1 in 1954. His appearances were mostly relegated to that comic series. The stories revolved around Superduck foiling various villains and helping those in need, often with a comedic slant.
Although not a major or well-known character in DC's vast catalogue, Superduck represents a lighthearted and simpler era of comic book storytelling. He is a notable example of the funny animal genre's influence and parody within mainstream superhero comics.
