Red Son Superman, also known as Red Star Superman, is an alternate reality version of Superman from DC Comics.
He first appeared in the comic book Superman: Red Son #1 in 2003. In this Elseworlds story, Superman's rocket lands in Soviet Ukraine instead of Kansas. He is raised in the Soviet Union and becomes a symbol of the communist regime, dedicated to serving Stalin and expanding the reach of the Soviet Union's ideals.
This Superman's values and methods differ significantly from the mainstream version. He prioritizes collective good over individual liberty, and is willing to enforce his vision through authoritarian means. He remains incredibly powerful but his ideology is shifted by his upbringing and surrounding environment.
