Superman, as portrayed in the 1948 film serial *Superman*, is the iconic DC Comics superhero brought to life by actor Kirk Alyn. He is the last survivor of the planet Krypton, sent to Earth as an infant by his parents, Jor-El and Lara, moments before their world's destruction.
Discovered and raised by farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent in Smallville, Kansas, he is given the name Clark Kent and instilled with strong moral values. Recognizing his extraordinary abilities, they urge him to use his powers for good, becoming a symbol of hope and justice.
As an adult, Clark moves to Metropolis and takes a job as a reporter for the Daily Planet, working alongside Lois Lane. He uses his mild-mannered persona to conceal his secret identity as Superman. When danger threatens, he sheds his disguise and uses his incredible strength, speed, and flight to protect the innocent and fight against evil.
