Blue Lantern Superman is an alternate version of Superman from DC Comics, primarily featured in the "Blackest Night" storyline. He's not Superman embracing the Blue Lantern Corps permanently, but rather a temporary recipient of a Blue Lantern ring.
During the height of the Black Lantern Corps' assault, Superman was infected and nearly became a Black Lantern. However, Saint Walker, a Blue Lantern, intervened, using his ring to restore Superman's hope and sever his connection to the Black Lanterns. This temporarily transformed Superman into a Blue Lantern.
As a Blue Lantern, Superman wielded the power of hope. He was able to empower other Blue Lanterns and counteract the negative effects of the Black Lanterns. His presence was crucial in the fight against Nekron and the Black Lanterns.
After the Blackest Night crisis subsided, Superman returned to his normal Kryptonian powers, relinquishing the Blue Lantern ring. While a powerful and inspiring hero, his time as a Blue Lantern was a brief but impactful moment in his history, showcasing the importance of hope in overcoming even the darkest of threats.
