Biography:
The Third Doctor, portrayed by Jon Pertwee, was a charismatic and action-oriented incarnation of the Doctor. He was exiled to Earth by the Time Lords, stripped of his ability to travel through time and space, and forced to regenerate in 1970's England.
Initially working as a scientific advisor for UNIT (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce), led by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, the Third Doctor used his intellect and advanced technology to defend Earth from alien threats. His companions included Liz Shaw, a brilliant scientist, and later, Jo Grant, an enthusiastic and resourceful assistant.
Known for his dapper attire, fondness for gadgets (like his sonic screwdriver), and martial arts skills (Venusian Aikido), the Third Doctor was a more proactive and physically capable Time Lord than his predecessors. He frequently clashed with authority figures but always remained dedicated to protecting the innocent.
His era saw encounters with classic monsters like the Daleks, Cybermen, and the Master, a renegade Time Lord and the Doctor's arch-nemesis. Eventually, the Time Lords lifted his exile, allowing him to travel the universe once more.
