Darth Revan is a prominent figure in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, specifically the era of the Old Republic. He first appeared in the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Initially a Jedi Knight, Revan was a charismatic and brilliant strategist who, against the Jedi Council's wishes, led the Republic in the Mandalorian Wars. His experiences in the war, and encounters with the dark side, led him to fall to the dark side and become Darth Revan, a powerful Sith Lord.

As Darth Revan, he returned to the Republic with a vast Sith armada, seeking to conquer and reshape the galaxy according to his vision. He was eventually defeated and seemingly killed by his apprentice, Darth Malak, though he later returned with amnesia and was given a chance at redemption.

Revan's legacy is complex, representing both the potential for good and the seductive power of the dark side. His story is a central narrative within the Old Republic setting, exploring themes of morality, destiny, and the choices that define an individual.
