Darth Revan is a prominent figure in the Star Wars Legends continuity, primarily known for his role in the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. He first appears as a playable character in this game.
Originally a Jedi Knight, Revan, driven by a desire to understand the Sith threat, led a faction into the Unknown Regions. He and his companion, Malak, fell to the dark side, establishing a new Sith Empire and launching an invasion of the Republic.
Betrayed by Malak, Revan's memory was erased by the Jedi Council. Given a new identity, he assisted the Republic in defeating Malak and the Sith. However, Revan's past remained a mystery he sought to uncover, ultimately leading him on a new journey to confront an even greater darkness lurking in the Unknown Regions.
