Darth Revan is a prominent figure in the Star Wars Legends continuity, particularly within the Old Republic era. His first appearance was in the video game *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic*.

Originally a powerful Jedi Knight, Revan, along with his friend Alek (later Darth Malak), defied the Jedi Council's orders and ventured into the Unknown Regions to confront the invading Mandalorians during the Mandalorian Wars. Revan's strategic brilliance and combat prowess turned the tide of the war, earning him the respect and loyalty of many.

However, during his time in the Unknown Regions, Revan was drawn to the dark side of the Force. He discovered the remnants of a Sith Empire and embraced their teachings, becoming a Sith Lord and taking the title Darth Revan. He returned to the Republic with a powerful Sith fleet, plunging the galaxy into the Jedi Civil War.

Ultimately, Revan was betrayed by Malak and presumed dead. However, he survived, his memory erased by the Jedi Council. He was then retrained as a Jedi, unaware of his past as a Sith Lord, and tasked with stopping Malak. Through his journey, Revan could either embrace his past and reclaim his place as a Dark Lord, or remain with the light and defeat Malak.
