Darth Revan is a prominent figure in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, first appearing in the video game *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic* (2003).
Originally a Jedi Knight, Revan was a charismatic and skilled leader who, against the Jedi Council's orders, investigated the growing Mandalorian threat during the Mandalorian Wars. Along with his friend Alek (later Darth Malak), Revan ultimately defeated the Mandalorians but was drawn to the dark side of the Force during his travels in the Unknown Regions.
Embracing the Sith, Revan returned to the Republic as Darth Revan, leading a Sith armada in an attempt to conquer the galaxy. He was eventually betrayed by Malak and believed to be dead. Rescued and mind-wiped by the Jedi, he was given a new identity. Revan later played a crucial role in defeating Malak. Despite his amnesia, fragments of his dark past haunted him.
Revan's complex history, encompassing both Jedi heroism and Sith villainy, makes him a captivating and enduring character within the Star Wars mythos. He is remembered for his strategic brilliance, mastery of the Force, and moral ambiguity.
