Scott Lang, portrayed by Paul Rudd, is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) known as Ant-Man. Lang is a former electrical engineer and ex-convict who becomes the second person to adopt the Ant-Man mantle, following Hank Pym.
In the MCU, Lang is recruited by Pym after being released from prison. Pym provides Lang with the Ant-Man suit, which allows the wearer to shrink to microscopic size while simultaneously increasing strength. Lang is initially hesitant but eventually embraces his role as Ant-Man, using his skills and abilities to help protect the world.
