Scott Lang, portrayed by Paul Rudd in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a prominent iteration of Ant-Man. This version of the character first appeared in the film *Ant-Man* (2015).
Lang is initially introduced as an ex-convict with a background in electrical engineering and a good heart struggling to reconnect with his daughter, Cassie. His skills and circumstance lead him to be recruited by Dr. Hank Pym to don the Ant-Man suit.
The Ant-Man suit allows Lang to shrink to the size of an insect while retaining his strength. He also uses the suit to grow to a giant size. Through his adventures, he becomes a key member of the Avengers and plays a pivotal role in defeating Thanos.
