Ant-Man is a superhero identity shared by several characters in Marvel Comics. The most well-known are Hank Pym and Scott Lang.
Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym is a brilliant scientist who discovered "Pym Particles," which allow him to shrink or grow in size. He initially used this technology to become the original Ant-Man, later adopting other heroic identities like Giant-Man and Yellowjacket. Pym's life is marked by both scientific achievement and personal struggles, including mental instability.
Scott Lang is a reformed thief who became the second Ant-Man after stealing Pym's technology to save his daughter. Pym later condoned and encouraged Lang's use of the Ant-Man suit, mentoring him. Lang is known for his resourcefulness, engineering skills, and dedication to his daughter, Cassie.
Both Ant-Men possess the ability to shrink to the size of an ant and communicate with insects, using these abilities for espionage, infiltration, and combat. They are both members, at different times, of the Avengers.
