Henry "Hank" Pym, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a brilliant scientist and former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. He is the original Ant-Man, having discovered "Pym Particles" which allow him to alter his size, shrinking or growing to enormous heights.
Pym developed the Ant-Man suit and initially used it for covert missions. Later in life, he becomes disillusioned with S.H.I.E.L.D. and retires from his role as Ant-Man, keeping the technology hidden for many years.
In the MCU, he eventually recruits Scott Lang to become the new Ant-Man, providing him with the suit and training. Pym plays a key role in guiding Lang and using his expertise to help the Avengers, eventually rejoining the fight himself.
