Ant-Man is a superhero character appearing in Marvel Comics.

The first appearance of Ant-Man was in *Tales to Astonish #27* (January 1962). While several characters have taken on the mantle of Ant-Man, two are particularly prominent: Hank Pym and Scott Lang.

Hank Pym, a brilliant scientist, is the original Ant-Man. He discovered "Pym Particles," which allow him to shrink to the size of an insect, as well as grow to gigantic size. He uses this technology to fight crime. Pym has also operated under other superhero identities, including Giant-Man, Goliath, and Yellowjacket.

Scott Lang is a reformed thief who becomes the second Ant-Man. He steals Pym's Ant-Man suit, later earning Pym's approval to continue using it. He is primarily associated with the superhero team, the Avengers.
