Ant-Man
Brand:
Lele
Serial:
79057
Year:
2015
Theme:
Marvel
Biography:
Ant-Man (Green) is a relatively obscure Marvel Comics character with a limited publication history, not to be confused with the much more popular and well-known Ant-Man (Hank Pym) or Ant-Man (Scott Lang).
His real name is Dr. Eric O'Grady. Unlike Pym and Lang, O'Grady is initially depicted as an amoral S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, more interested in personal gain than heroism. He stumbled upon a prototype Ant-Man suit created by Hank Pym.
O'Grady stole the suit and used it for his own selfish purposes, including voyeurism and petty theft. He was initially portrayed as more of an anti-hero than a traditional hero, often making ethically questionable choices.
While not widely recognized, his appearances contributed to the exploration of different moral perspectives within the Ant-Man mantle, offering a contrast to the more altruistic portrayals of Hank Pym and Scott Lang. Eric O'Grady's story ended heroically, however, when he sacrificed himself to save a child in the Secret Avengers comic series.
