Scott Lang, portrayed by Paul Rudd, is the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) version of Ant-Man. A former electrical engineer and ex-con, Lang is recruited by Dr. Hank Pym to become the new Ant-Man, utilizing Pym's size-altering technology.
His initial appearance in the MCU was in the 2015 film, Ant-Man, where he's trained to use the Ant-Man suit and stop Darren Cross from weaponizing the Pym Particles. He later joins the Avengers and participates in the battle against Thanos.
Lang demonstrates a knack for improvisation and humor, contrasting with the more serious demeanor of other heroes. He later teams up with Hope van Dyne, who becomes the Wasp, in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
