Green Loontern is a comedic version of the DC Comics superhero Green Lantern, portrayed by Daffy Duck in the Warner Bros. animated universe.
He debuted in the 2003 Duck Dodgers cartoon episode "The Green Loontern," where Daffy accidentally acquired Hal Jordan's Green Lantern ring and uniform after it fell out of the back of a truck. He was voiced by Joe Alaskey.
As Green Loontern, Daffy lacked any real understanding of the ring's power but enthusiastically tried to emulate Green Lantern's heroic persona, often with chaotic and humorous results.
The character is a light-hearted parody, mocking superhero tropes and showcasing Daffy Duck's characteristic ego and incompetence. Green Loontern has become a popular iteration of both Green Lantern and Daffy Duck, appearing in other Warner Bros. properties after his initial appearance.
