Daffy Duck is an animated cartoon character created by Warner Bros. and voiced originally by Mel Blanc.
He debuted in 1937's "Porky's Duck Hunt," directed by Tex Avery and Bob Clampett. Initially, Daffy was portrayed as a zany, irrepressible, and anarchic character, whose primary goal was causing mayhem and disrupting the status quo.
Over time, Daffy's personality evolved. Under the direction of Chuck Jones, he transitioned into a more cynical, scheming, and self-serving character, often depicted as jealous of Bugs Bunny's popularity and desperately seeking stardom himself. This later portrayal frequently positioned him as a foil to the cool and collected Bugs.
Daffy has appeared in numerous Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts, as well as feature films like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and "Space Jam." He is one of the most recognizable and enduring figures in animation history.
