Black Adam, originating in Fawcett Comics and later acquired by DC Comics, first appeared in The Marvel Family #1 in December 1945. He is an ancient Egyptian anti-hero, born Teth-Adam.
Chosen by the wizard Shazam, Teth-Adam was granted incredible powers, including super-strength, flight, and invulnerability, transforming him into Mighty Adam. However, corrupted by this power and a desire for control, he became known as Black Adam.
Driven by a ruthless sense of justice, Black Adam often clashes with heroes like Superman and the Shazam Family, viewing them as naive and ineffective in a world that demands harsh action. His methods are often brutal, making him a complex figure who blurs the lines between hero and villain.
