Teth-Adam, known as Black Adam, is a powerful Kahndaqi warrior granted the powers of Shazam by the ancient wizard. Born in ancient Kahndaq, he was initially chosen to be a champion of the people.
Corrupted by the immense power and the tragic loss of his family, Teth-Adam became a ruthless enforcer, ruling Kahndaq with an iron fist and ultimately being imprisoned for millennia.
Awakened in modern times, Black Adam finds himself in a world vastly different from his own. He initially struggles to reconcile his ancient ideals with contemporary morality, often resorting to brutal methods he deems necessary to protect the people of Kahndaq.
His interpretation of justice as an antihero brings him into conflict with established superhero teams such as the Justice Society. Ultimately, Black Adam seeks to be a protector of Kahndaq in his own brutal and authoritarian way.
