Henry "Hank" Pym, portrayed by Michael Douglas, is a pivotal character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the original Ant-Man. First appearing in the MCU with the release of the movie Ant-Man in 2015.
A brilliant scientist and physicist, Pym discovered the "Pym Particles," enabling the user to alter their size, shrinking to microscopic levels or growing to gigantic proportions. This technology is at the core of the Ant-Man suit and allows for strategic espionage and combat.
Once a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative, Pym became disillusioned with the organization and their attempts to weaponize his technology. He left the agency and dedicated himself to protecting his research.
