Biography:
Norrin Radd, known as the Silver Surfer, debuted in Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966).
He originates from the planet Zenn-La, a technologically advanced utopia. To save his homeworld from Galactus, a cosmic entity who consumes planets, Norrin Radd volunteered to become Galactus's herald.
Galactus imbued him with the Power Cosmic, transforming him into the Silver Surfer. This granted him incredible abilities, including flight at speeds exceeding light, energy manipulation, and near-invulnerability. The Silver Surfer was tasked with finding suitable planets for Galactus to devour.
Over time, the Surfer grew conflicted by his role in the destruction of inhabited worlds and eventually rebelled against Galactus on Earth. This led to Galactus imprisoning him on Earth for a time. After being freed from this imprisonment, the Silver Surfer has since become a powerful hero in the Marvel Universe.
