Biography:
Norrin Radd, known as the Silver Surfer, debuted in *Fantastic Four* #48 (March 1966) in the comic books.
Originally a young astronomer from the planet Zenn-La, he bargained with the cosmic entity Galactus to spare his world from consumption. In exchange, Norrin Radd became Galactus' herald, imbued with the Power Cosmic.
Transformed, he gained a silver, metallic appearance and wielded a surfboard-like craft that allowed him to traverse space at incredible speeds. The Silver Surfer's primary function was to seek out planets for Galactus to devour.
Over time, the Surfer developed a conscience and rebelled against Galactus's destructive nature, eventually becoming a protector of life and a symbol of cosmic heroism.
