Biography:

Norrin Radd, known as the Silver Surfer, first appeared in Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966). He is a humanoid alien from the planet Zenn-La.

To save his homeworld from Galactus, a cosmic entity who consumes planets, Norrin volunteered to become Galactus's herald. Galactus imbued him with the Power Cosmic, transforming him into the Silver Surfer.

The Silver Surfer traveled the cosmos, searching for planets for Galactus to devour. Eventually, he was manipulated into leading Galactus to Earth.

Guilt-ridden by the impending doom of Earth, the Surfer turned against Galactus, leading to a battle that ended with Galactus being driven away. However, Galactus punished the Surfer by trapping him on Earth.
