Biography:

Samuel "Sam" Wilson, formerly known as the Falcon, is a Marvel Comics superhero and the current Captain America. He was created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan, first appearing in 1969's *Captain America* #117.

Originally a social worker from Harlem, Sam Wilson became the Falcon after encountering Steve Rogers (the original Captain America) on Exile Island. Exposed to Red Skull's Cosmic Cube, Sam was granted a telepathic link with birds, most notably his avian companion, Redwing. He became Captain America's trusted partner in fighting crime.

Following Steve Rogers' temporary loss of his super-soldier serum, he chose Sam Wilson to inherit the mantle of Captain America. This decision sparked controversy but ultimately cemented Sam's position as a symbol of hope and justice for a new generation. As Captain America, Sam faces challenges related to racial injustice, systemic inequality, and the legacy of the shield itself. He strives to live up to the ideals represented by the title while forging his own path as a hero.
