Hydra Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers, is a controversial figure from the Marvel Comics storyline "Secret Empire." This version of Captain America first appeared in Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 (2016).

Brainwashed by the Red Skull using Kobik, the sentient Cosmic Cube, Steve Rogers' history was rewritten to make him a sleeper agent for Hydra from childhood. This retcon placed him within the ranks of the villainous organization, fundamentally altering his motivations and actions.

During the "Secret Empire" event, Hydra Captain America manipulates events to destabilize the United States, allowing Hydra to seize control. He utilizes a specially designed armor known as the Civil Warrior Armor or the Ironclad Patriot to enforce Hydra's rule. His actions are driven by a twisted sense of loyalty to Hydra's ideals, believing he is saving the world.
