Pietro Maximoff, known as Quicksilver, is a character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), debuting in the film Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Quicksilver is introduced as an enhanced individual with superhuman speed. He and his twin sister, Wanda, gained their powers through experimentation with the Mind Stone by HYDRA.
Initially aligned with Ultron, Quicksilver later joins the Avengers. He tragically sacrifices himself to save Hawkeye and a child during the final battle in Sokovia.
