Pietro Maximoff, known as Quicksilver, is a character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He possesses superhuman speed.
He first appears in a mid-credits scene in the film *Captain America: The Winter Soldier* (2014), portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. However, his formal introduction is in *Avengers: Age of Ultron* (2015).
In *Avengers: Age of Ultron*, Quicksilver is shown as aiding Ultron in his plans to destroy the Avengers but ultimately switches sides alongside his sister, the Scarlet Witch. He dies while saving Hawkeye and a child from Ultron's gunfire.
