Pietro Maximoff, known as Quicksilver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a character first introduced in a cameo appearance in the post-credits scene of *Captain America: The Winter Soldier* (2014).
He gained a more significant role in *Avengers: Age of Ultron* (2015), where he and his twin sister, Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), initially worked with Ultron against the Avengers, seeking revenge for the death of their parents in Sokovia.
Quicksilver possesses superhuman speed, allowing him to move and react at incredible velocities. He ultimately allied himself with the Avengers and sacrificed himself to save Hawkeye and a young Sokovian boy from Ultron's gunfire. He was portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
