Biography:
Bruce Wayne, the Batman, becomes a twisted reflection of his nemesis in the "Batman: White Knight" series. After being dosed with a special compound by Jack Napier (The Joker), Bruce is "Jokerized", but in a different manner than typically portrayed.
Instead of succumbing to madness, the Joker toxin enhances Wayne's more extreme traits, resulting in a Batman who abandons his principles. He becomes increasingly authoritarian and violent in his methods. This corruption of his ideals makes him believe his actions are now a legitimate and justified means to Gotham's safety.
This warped version of Batman becomes the antithesis of everything Bruce Wayne once stood for. He loses faith in the system he once swore to protect. His descent into darkness sees him wielding fear and brute force indiscriminately, blurring the lines between hero and villain.
