Biography:
James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes, known as the Winter Soldier, is a Marvel Comics character with a complex and tragic history. He originated as Captain America's youthful sidekick during World War II.
Presumed dead after a mid-war explosion, Bucky resurfaced decades later as a brainwashed assassin known only as the Winter Soldier. He was a highly skilled operative, controlled by Hydra and the Soviet Union, used for covert operations and political assassinations.
