Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, the version appearing in the Disney+ series WandaVision presents a unique situation.
Initially introduced as Wanda Maximoff's (Scarlet Witch) brother, this version of Pietro is portrayed by Evan Peters. This is notable because Peters previously played Quicksilver in the X-Men film franchise, which is separate from the MCU. His appearance in WandaVision led to speculation of a Multiverse crossover.
It is eventually revealed that this Pietro is not the original Quicksilver (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Avengers: Age of Ultron), but rather an ordinary Westview resident named Ralph Bohner who was controlled by Agatha Harkness. He can be considered an imposter of Pietro Maximoff, thus is called Fietro by fans. His first appearance as Quicksilver, if not real Quicksilver, in the MCU is in WandaVision episode 5, "On a Very Special Episode..."
