Biography:

Thanos is a fictional supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics. He first appears in The Invincible Iron Man #55 (February 1973).

Born on Titan, one of Saturn's moons, Thanos is a mutant member of the race of Eternals. He is obsessed with power and cosmic balance. Thanos is driven by a desire to impress Mistress Death, seeking to eliminate half of all life in the universe to achieve this twisted goal.

His pursuit of the Infinity Stones and the Infinity Gauntlet defines much of his story, allowing him to wield godlike power. Thanos often clashes with the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other Marvel superheroes who oppose his genocidal ambitions.
