Biography:

Alex Murphy, later known as Robocop, first appeared in the 1987 film *Robocop*. He was originally a police officer in a crime-ridden Detroit, Michigan.

Murphy is brutally murdered in the line of duty. The megacorporation Omni Consumer Products (OCP), which has a contract to privatize the Detroit police force, uses his remains to create Robocop, a cyborg law enforcement officer.

Robocop is programmed with directives to serve and protect, but fragments of Murphy's memories resurface, leading him to seek justice against those responsible for his death and grapple with his lost humanity.
