Biography:

Alex Murphy, portrayed by Joel Kinnaman, is the protagonist of the 2014 film *RoboCop*, a reimagining of the original character.

Murphy is a Detroit police detective critically injured in a car bombing orchestrated by Antoine Vallon. Following his injuries, OmniCorp CEO Raymond Sellars sees an opportunity to advance his drone technology initiative. Murphy is chosen as the prime candidate for the RoboCop program, transforming him into a cyborg law enforcement officer.

Designated WM6020, Robocop retains some of Murphy's memories and emotions, battling both criminals and OmniCorp's manipulation as he attempts to reconcile his humanity with his cybernetic enhancements.
