Biography:
Alex Murphy, later known as Robocop, is a fictional cyborg police officer who first appeared in the movie Robocop (1987). Murphy was originally a dedicated police officer in a crime-ridden Detroit.
While on duty with his new partner, Anne Lewis, Murphy is brutally murdered by a gang of criminals led by Clarence Boddicker.
Omni Consumer Products (OCP), a megacorporation with control over the Detroit Police Department, uses Murphy's remains to create Robocop. Stripped of nearly all of his memories and emotions, Robocop is programmed to uphold the law. He is incredibly strong, durable, and equipped with advanced weaponry.
As Robocop performs his duties, fragments of Murphy's past begin to surface, leading him to confront the corruption within OCP and seek justice for his own death.
