Biography:
Alex Murphy, portrayed by Joel Kinnaman, is the protagonist of the 2014 film *RoboCop*. He first appears in this movie. Murphy is a Detroit police detective who is critically injured in a car bomb attack orchestrated by crime boss Antoine Vallon.
OmniCorp, a powerful robotics corporation, seizes the opportunity to use Murphy as a test subject for their RoboCop program. Under the direction of Dr. Dennett Norton (Gary Oldman), Murphy is transformed into a cyborg law enforcement officer.
