Alex Murphy, later known as Robocop, is a cyborg police officer, first appearing in the 1987 film, Robocop. He was a Detroit police officer brutally murdered in the line of duty.
Cyberdyne Systems (OCP) used Murphy's remains to create Robocop, a powerful law enforcement cyborg programmed to serve and protect. Robocop initially has no memory of his past life.
As Robocop, Murphy fights crime in a dystopian Detroit, slowly regaining his memories and humanity. He grapples with his identity and the ethics of his creation, seeking justice for his own murder and battling the corruption within OCP.
