Eobard Thawne, also known as the Reverse-Flash, is a prominent antagonist in The CW's Arrowverse, specifically within The Flash TV show.
He is a speedster from the future who traveled back in time with the goal of killing Barry Allen, aka The Flash, driven by a deep-seated hatred and obsession with surpassing him. Thawne is responsible for the death of Barry's mother, a pivotal event in the hero's origin story, creating a major conflict.
