Biography:
Eobard Thawne, portrayed by Tom Cavanagh and Matt Letscher, is the Reverse-Flash in The CW's Arrowverse. A speedster from the future, he is obsessed with the Flash, Barry Allen, and travels back in time to become his nemesis.
Thawne, originally a scientist, replicated the Flash's powers but his obsession turned dark, leading him to become the Reverse-Flash. His driving motivation is to make Barry's life miserable, even going so far as to kill Barry's mother, Nora Allen, in the past.
He initially appears in the form of Harrison Wells, a brilliant scientist, having killed the real Wells and stolen his identity. His first appearance is in the pilot episode of The Flash TV show.
Throughout the series, Thawne exists in different timelines and forms, constantly scheming against the Flash and his team. He is a cunning and ruthless adversary, representing the antithesis of everything Barry Allen stands for.
