Biography:
Eobard Thawne, primarily known as the Reverse Flash in The CW's Arrowverse, is a speedster from the future who becomes the archenemy of The Flash (Barry Allen). Driven by an obsessive desire to become The Flash, Thawne travels back in time and engineers the circumstances that grant Barry his powers.
He is responsible for the murder of Nora Allen, Barry's mother, an event that deeply traumatizes Barry and fuels his journey to become a hero. Thawne's ultimate goal is often to erase Barry Allen from existence, viewing him as an obstacle to his own ambitions.
Portrayed by Tom Cavanagh, primarily in the guise of Harrison Wells, and Matt Letscher as his original face, Thawne first appears in "Pilot", the inaugural episode of *The Flash* TV show. His presence is a constant threat throughout the series, frequently manipulating events from behind the scenes.
