Eobard Thawne, better known as Reverse-Flash, is a major antagonist within The CW's "Arrowverse," a shared universe of DC Comics-based television series.
First appearing in the TV Show *The Flash* (Season 1, 2014), Reverse-Flash is the arch-nemesis of Barry Allen/The Flash. He is from the future and possesses similar super-speed abilities, but uses them for malevolent purposes.
Driven by an obsessive hatred of the Flash, Thawne traveled back in time, killing Barry Allen's mother and setting off a chain of events that shaped Barry's life. He often manipulates events from behind the scenes, posing as Dr. Harrison Wells to guide Barry toward becoming faster, all as part of his twisted plan to ensure the Flash's existence and, therefore, his own. He is typically depicted with a yellow suit.
