Red Hood is a DC Comics anti-hero, primarily associated with the Batman family.
He is commonly known as Jason Todd, the second character to assume the role of Robin. Jason was brutally murdered by the Joker in the 1988 storyline "Batman: A Death in the Family."
Years later, Jason Todd was resurrected and adopted the persona of the Red Hood, becoming a vigilante who employed lethal methods to fight crime. The character's Red Hood identity first appeared in *Batman* #635 (February 2005), written by Judd Winick.
As Red Hood, Jason's methods often clash with Batman's moral code, creating conflict and tension between the two. While sometimes an adversary, Red Hood also occasionally allies with Batman and other heroes, seeking his own brand of justice.
