Red Hood is a complex character in the DC Comics universe, primarily associated with the Batman family. He is best known as the resurrected Jason Todd, the second Robin.
Jason Todd first appeared as Robin in Batman #357 in 1983. He was eventually killed by the Joker in the controversial "Death in the Family" storyline in 1988.
Years later, Jason was resurrected and, fueled by rage and a sense of betrayal, took on the mantle of the Red Hood. His methods often clash with Batman's, as he embraces lethal force to fight crime. This difference in ideology creates a recurring conflict between the two characters.
As the Red Hood, Jason is a skilled combatant and marksman. He operates outside of Batman's code, often blurring the line between hero and villain. His story is one of trauma, resurrection, and the struggle to find his place in a world that seemingly abandoned him.
