Jason Todd, known as Red Hood, is a complex and often volatile character in the DC Comics universe. He first appeared as Robin in Batman #357 (1983), taking on the mantle after Dick Grayson.

Tragically, Jason was brutally murdered by the Joker in the iconic "A Death in the Family" storyline. This event deeply impacted Batman and haunted the Bat-Family for years.

Years later, Jason was resurrected and returned to Gotham, adopting the Red Hood persona. Driven by rage and a sense of betrayal that Batman hadn't avenged his death properly, Red Hood often operates as a violent vigilante, willing to use lethal force where Batman refuses to. This places him in direct conflict with Batman and other members of the Bat-Family.
