Red Hood is a DC Comics anti-hero initially appearing as the second character to take up the mantle of Robin, Batman's sidekick. This version of the character first appeared in *Detective Comics* #575 (1987).
Years later, the character was killed by The Joker. He was later resurrected and returned to Gotham City, taking on the identity of the Red Hood, a criminal persona with violent methods. He often operates outside the law and clashes with Batman due to their differing moral codes.
As Red Hood, he employs lethal tactics to fight crime, believing it is necessary to truly stop criminals. This puts him at odds with Batman's strict no-killing rule, creating a complex and conflicted relationship between the two.
