Biography:
Jason Todd, designated Robin II by Batman, was a troubled youth from Gotham City's Crime Alley. He encountered Batman while attempting to steal the tires off the Batmobile.
Batman, seeing potential for rehabilitation and crime-fighting, took Jason under his wing and trained him as the new Robin. Jason, however, proved to be more impulsive and prone to violence than his predecessor, Dick Grayson.
During a mission, Jason was captured by the Joker and brutally tortured. The Joker then detonated a bomb, seemingly killing Jason. This event profoundly impacted Batman, leading to intense guilt and regret.
Years later, Jason was resurrected via the Lazarus Pit. Driven mad by the experience and fueled by a sense of abandonment by Batman, Jason took on the identity of the Red Hood, a ruthless vigilante. He employs lethal methods and actively clashes with Batman's moral code, challenging the effectiveness of Batman's non-lethal approach to crime fighting.
As Red Hood, Jason aims to clean up Gotham using any means necessary, often engaging in criminal activities himself to dismantle larger organizations. Despite his violent methods, a complex and strained relationship remains with Batman, often shifting between antagonism and a begrudging alliance.
