Red Hood is a DC character, most notably known as the resurrected Jason Todd. Originally, Todd was the second Robin, Batman's sidekick, who was brutally murdered by the Joker.
After being deceased, Jason was resurrected in the Lazarus Pit. This transformation led him down a darker path, marked by violence and a willingness to cross lines Batman wouldn't. As Red Hood, he confronts criminals with lethal force, leading to clashes with Batman and his former allies.
The name "Red Hood" has history prior to Jason, the Joker himself was once the Red Hood before he became the Joker. Jason took on the identity as his own mantle. Red Hood's first appearance was in Batman #635, in 2005.
