Red Hood is a DC Comics character most famously known as the resurrected Jason Todd, the second Robin. He first appeared as Red Hood in Batman #635 (February 2005), after previously being introduced as Jason Todd in Batman #357 (March 1983).
Jason Todd, originally a troubled street orphan, was chosen by Batman to become the new Robin after Dick Grayson. Tragically, he was brutally murdered by the Joker. Years later, he was resurrected through the Lazarus Pit, a mystical pool that restores life but also affects one's sanity.
As Red Hood, Jason adopts a lethal approach to crime fighting, contrasting sharply with Batman's strict no-kill rule. This divergence leads to significant conflict between them as Red Hood becomes a vigilante operating outside the law.
